Amazon's cloud service revealed new AI servers utilizing its proprietary Trainium2 chips, set to compete directly with Nvidia's offerings. During the announcement in Las Vegas, Apple confirmed it will adopt these chips for its operations. AWS's new servers, aimed at optimizing generative AI workloads, will reportedly allow customers to train AI models at significantly reduced costs compared to Nvidia. Plans for the next-gen Trainium3 chip were also unveiled, while both AWS and Nvidia continue to expand their presence in the booming AI chip market.
