Amazon has announced that by the end of this year, they will completely eliminate the use of plastic cushioning materials in shipping boxes, replacing them with paper materials. This initiative is part of Amazon's commitment to sustainability, with plans to use paper as much as possible for cushioning during Prime Day deliveries this year. They have already reduced plastic cushioning use in boxes by 95% and aim to further reduce overall plastic usage by incorporating more recycled materials into their shipping processes. Amazon's efforts towards sustainable development also include exploring drone delivery options and implementing eco-friendly materials in packaging to accelerate their sustainability goals.
