The Legislative Yuan's Internal Affairs Committee will hold a public hearing next Wednesday to discuss amendments to the Recall of Public Servants Act. Eric Chu, the Chairman of the Kuomintang party, emphasized that the amendment of the recall law is not targeting any specific individual or party but rather focusing on the country's system. Chu stated that the current recall conditions for the President, legislators, and mayors differ significantly, and aspects such as the signature gathering process and thresholds need to be reviewed. Discussions will center around what is the most appropriate threshold, without any predefined stance from the Kuomintang party. The aim is to have scholars and experts participate in the discussions.
