A U.S. appeals court upheld a ruling that American Airlines' partnership with JetBlue Airways breached federal antitrust laws. The Boston-based court agreed with the U.S. Department of Justice that the 'Northeast Alliance' allowed the airlines to coordinate flights and share revenue, which raised competition concerns. Although American Airlines disagreed with the decision and is considering an appeal to the Supreme Court, JetBlue has since terminated the alliance.
