American Airlines flight attendants reject 17% wage hike offer

Reported 4 months ago

The Association of Professional Flight Attendants, representing over 23,000 American Airlines flight attendants, unanimously rejects the airline's proposal of immediate 17% wage increases and higher profit sharing in 2024. Despite not yet reaching a complete contract agreement, CEO Robert Isom made the offer. The union insists on an industry-leading contract, with negotiations ongoing since June 2021 following a pause due to the pandemic. The union has a 99.47% strike vote authorization and is preparing for a strike if needed.
