Sandra Oudkirk, the director of the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT), together with Kaohsiung Branch Chief Neil Gibson and three other officials, bid farewell to Tainan City Mayor Huang Wei-che as her tenure comes to an end this summer. This departure signifies the strong relationship between Taiwan and the United States cultivated during Oudkirk's three-year term. As a gesture of appreciation for her contributions, Mayor Huang presented Oudkirk with a floral painting symbolizing the enduring friendship between Tainan and the U.S. Both parties expressed hopes for continued cooperation and deepening the friendship between the two regions.
