Americans Ignoring the Upside of Inflation: Their Wages

Reported 9 months ago

Many Americans tend to focus on the rising prices of goods when discussing inflation, but they often overlook the fact that their wages have also increased. Studies have shown that wages have kept pace with rising prices, with the average hourly earnings of all workers up 22.28% since February 2020. Despite this, many people attribute their pay raises solely to their job performance or career progression, leading to a distorted view of the economy. As inflation goes up, so does wage growth, and vice versa, highlighting the correlation between the two factors in recent years.
