More than 2,000 unionized workers from Samsung Electronics gathered in Seoul for a rare rally demanding fair wages, organized by the National Samsung Electronics Union (NSEU) whose membership has grown significantly in the past two years. The rally featured K-pop performances and electronic dance music, with the union seeking not only a 5.1% wage increase but also additional annual leave and transparent performance-based bonuses. The younger generation at Samsung is increasingly supportive of unions, seeing them as a means to create fairer workplaces, while negotiations between the company and the union are ongoing.
