Amnesty International UK stated that Shein's upcoming London IPO would be a 'badge of shame' for the London Stock Exchange due to the fast-fashion company's questionable labor and human rights standards. Shein has confidentially filed for an IPO with Britain's markets regulator, sparking concerns among critics. Despite Shein's efforts to enhance governance and compliance in its supply chain, concerns over labor practices have led to opposition to its listing plans in the U.S. The China Securities Regulatory Commission has also raised issues regarding Shein's supply chain, prompting further scrutiny. Shein executives have engaged with Amnesty International representatives to address human rights concerns.
