A fisherman in Missouri caught a northern snakehead below Wappapello Lake Spillway, the fourth ever recorded in the state. Despite trying to kill it, it survived for hours due to its ability to breathe air and stay moist. The Missouri Department of Conservation warns that the invasive fish can prey on native species and compete for resources, urging anglers to immediately kill any snakeheads caught and report them to the authorities for proper disposal.
