On June 21, 2024, at 3:44 am, National Chung Hsing University launched a general education course on 'Pet Clinics' and sent students to visit shelters to provide medical care for animals. The course, now in its 5th year, aims to raise awareness of animal welfare and the issue of stray animals. Students learn clinical knowledge and skills through practical sessions at shelters and medical rooms, aiming to improve animal well-being. After visiting various shelters, students were surprised by the improved conditions and how the experience increased their understanding and concern for animal welfare. The course combines knowledge transfer and social practice, encouraging students to actively contribute to animal welfare and raise public awareness through media content.
