Netflix's latest data dump, 'What We Watched: A Netflix Engagement Report,' revealed that out of the top 100 most viewed titles from July to December 2023, 33 were animated, amassing a total of 1,087,600,000 views. Despite this impact, licensed titles from other studios outranked Netflix originals. Universal supplied the most top-ranking animated films, with 22 titles through an exclusive deal, followed by other companies like Sony and Paramount/Nickelodeon. Animated titles are considered a great investment for Netflix due to their appeal to children and repeat viewing. Concurrently, upcoming Netflix releases include animated films like DreamWorks' Home and The Lego Movie.
