Animation Discusses Current Affairs: Latest Poll Shows Lack of Consensus on 'Nuclear-free Homeland' Within Green Camp with 45.8% in Disagreement

Reported 8 months ago

A recent poll by the Taiwan Public Opinion Foundation reveals that among Taiwanese aged 20 and above, 42.4% roughly agree with the 'nuclear-free homeland' policy, while 45.8% disagree, showing a 3.4% higher disagreement rate. Within the green camp, 70% agree, while in the blue camp, 78% disagree. The analysis also shows varying levels of agreement across different regions, with cities like New Taipei, Tainan, and Kaohsiung mostly supporting the policy, while Taipei, Taoyuan, and Taichung mostly do not. The lack of consensus on this policy, despite 8 years under former President Tsai Ing-wen's administration, indicates opposition still holds a slight majority, suggesting the policy has not deeply resonated with the public.
