Anthony Rizzo's error in the eighth inning allowed the Los Angeles Angels to take the lead and ultimately led to the New York Yankees falling 4-3 on Tuesday night. The Yankees' Juan Soto contributed with a home run and two RBIs, while Nestor Cortes had a solid start despite giving up two runs. Austin Wells also made an impact with a double that briefly gave the Yankees the lead. Despite Anthony Volpe extending his hitting streak to 20 games, Taylor Ward was named the game MVP for the Angels after his two-run double in the eighth inning. The Yankees will look to bounce back in their next game against the Angels with Luis Gil facing off against Tyler Anderson.
