According to the latest global risk management report from Aon, the failure to attract and retain talent has risen to become the fourth largest commercial risk for businesses worldwide. Aon emphasizes the significance of talent as a core asset and employee happiness as a critical indicator for attracting and retaining staff. The report, based on a survey conducted in 61 countries with 2,842 decision-makers, highlights the evolving workplace experiences as a key factor, underscoring the crucial role of HR teams. Aon's Global Talent Solutions CEO Lambros Lambrou notes the increasing importance of HR teams in the strategic realm, emphasizing the impact of data-driven decisions on organizations. The report also reveals a 20% increase from 2022 in the effectiveness of employee happiness programs, with 80% of employers integrating happiness into their overall business and talent strategies. It further emphasizes the crucial role of top management support in determining the actualization of employee happiness. Aon Taiwan is set to release its 2024 Taiwan Employee Happiness Report in June, following a survey involving over 100 responses across various industries, aiming to provide insights and detailed comparisons with the Asia-Pacific region and global markets, delving into happiness issues from strategic, investment, and operational perspectives. To further discuss these topics, Aon Taiwan will host an online seminar on June 21 with experts from Aon Asia-Pacific and Taiwan to explore ways to enhance employee happiness, welcoming interested professionals and experts for interactive discussions.
