During the performance of reigning Golden Melody Awards Song King, MC HotDog, equipment malfunctioned, requiring two microphone replacements before sound was restored, causing an awkward moment. Following this incident at the 35th Golden Melody Awards held at Taipei Arena, the host, TTV, issued an apology at 5 PM to MC HotDog, explaining the cause of the mishap. TTV clarified that despite full battery check before the event, a transmission error occurred, resulting in the use of backup microphones mistakenly reported by onsite staff, leading to the incorrect operation of the corresponding audio track. TTV expressed responsibility, promptly apologizing to MC HotDog and thanking him for his understanding. Plans for improvement and cautionary measures in future events were also mentioned.
