In March, Apple airlifted a record $2 billion worth of iPhones from India to the United States, utilizing cargo flights to avoid impending tariffs under President Trump. Major suppliers Foxconn and Tata Electronics increased production significantly, exporting a combined total of $1.31 billion and $612 million in smartphones, respectively. This move aimed to secure inventory in one of Apple's largest markets as the U.S. imposed tariffs on imports from India, which were notably lower than those affecting China.
