Apple is set to largely evade the upcoming 50% tariffs on goods made in India for the US market, as its semiconductor-powered devices, including iPhones, will not be affected by the Trump's 25% tariffs starting Thursday. An additional 25% levy related to India's use of Russian oil will also not impact the iPhones since they fall under a separate tariff authority yet to be revealed. The news follows Apple's announcement of a significant investment in US manufacturing, although the company has faced scrutiny for moving production from China to India rather than back to the US.
