Apple has halted its plans for advanced augmented reality glasses that would connect to Macs, following challenges in development and disappointing performance reviews. The project, known as N107, aimed to offer a more consumer-friendly alternative to the expensive Apple Vision Pro, but difficulties in integrating technology and shifting features led to its cancellation. This is not the first setback for Apple in AR technology, as the company has previously abandoned similar initiatives while facing competition from Meta, which is advancing its own AR products.
