Apple is facing a proposed class-action lawsuit in California, where two female employees are alleging that the tech giant systematically underpays women in its engineering, marketing, and AppleCare divisions compared to male counterparts. The lawsuit claims that Apple bases starting pay on previous salaries or 'pay expectations,' resulting in lower rates for women, and alleges bias against women in performance evaluations for raises and bonuses. Apple has not yet responded to requests for comment.
