During WWDC 2024, Apple released the first wave of preview test versions of iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS 15 Sequoia, watchOS 11, tvOS 11 to developers, followed by beta 2 updates just 2 weeks later. The new iPadOS update includes adjustments for compliance with the EU Digital Markets Act, such as adding third-party app store services, additional third-party payment options in Apple's App Store, default browser selection, and default search engine options. These adjustments were previously implemented in iOS 17.4 and are extended to iPadOS in this update to align with EU regulations.
