Apple Inc. is set to launch its in-house modem chips, aiming to replace Qualcomm's components and ultimately surpass their technology by 2027. The first iteration will debut with the updated iPhone SE next spring, as part of a strategy built over five years that included significant investments and overcoming multiple development challenges. Apple's modem, codenamed Sinope, will be integrated with the company's processors for improved performance, although it currently lacks some advanced features present in Qualcomm's models.
