Apple has agreed to a $95 million settlement to resolve a lawsuit accusing it of using Siri to secretly record conversations on its devices without user activation. The lawsuit alleges that this practice lasted over a decade and involved sharing the recordings with advertisers. Despite the allegations conflicting with Apple's privacy commitments, the company denies wrongdoing. If approved, eligible consumers may receive compensation for devices used from September 2014 to the end of 2022, with claims expected to be filed by a small percentage of consumers.
