A Texas company, Fintiv, has filed a lawsuit against Apple, claiming that the tech giant stole its trade secrets and technology from CorFire, which Fintiv acquired in 2014, to develop Apple Pay, its mobile payment service. The lawsuit alleges that Apple used information gathered during meetings in 2011 and 2012, as well as employees lured from CorFire, to launch Apple Pay without compensating Fintiv. In addition to seeking damages for alleged violations of trade secrets laws, Fintiv's lawsuit describes Apple's actions as corporate theft and racketeering.
