Apple is reportedly shifting its strategy by abandoning the high-priced Vision Pro headsets in favor of developing affordable mixed reality (MR) devices, expected to be released next year. Foxconn is rumored to replace Luxshare as the manufacturer for Apple's affordable MR headsets. With the inclusion of AI features, the demand for affordable MR headsets is anticipated to increase, benefiting the supply chains of Yujingguang and GIS. Further developments include Apple aiming to reduce the weight of the affordable MR devices by at least one-third. Yujingguang is predicted to generate around 20-30% of its revenue from VR-related applications this year, becoming a significant part of its operations. GIS, known for producing the most technically challenging lenses for Vision Pro, is expected to be part of Apple's supply chain for the affordable headsets as well.
