According to a report, despite the common belief that the tech industry guarantees six-figure salaries, many software engineers struggle to reach that benchmark even after years of experience. Responses from professionals and online users varied, with some attributing high salaries to specific sectors like semiconductors or system manufacturers, while others emphasized the importance of skills over qualifications. Although tech salaries can range widely, data shows that the average salary in the information and communication sector in Taiwan falls around 80,000 to 90,000 NTD monthly, indicating that not everyone reaches the million-dollar mark. Despite this, the industry remains attractive due to above-average salaries and generous bonuses, with over 140,000 tech job opportunities available for job seekers to explore.
