Arrest of 2 Suspects for Robbery of Tether Coins in Neihu

On the evening of June 22, 2024, the Neihu Police Substation in Taipei received a report of a robbery on Jiu Zhong Road in Neihu District. The victim, surnamed Liu, was involved in trading virtual currencies and was robbed of over 20,000 Tether coins and thousands of dollars in cash by 2 suspects. The police formed a special task force, found the suspects in Taishan District, New Taipei City, and seized the weapons used in the crime. The suspects were arrested and charged with robbery, unlawful detention, and assault. The police will continue efforts to combat major crimes and ensure a safe environment for the public.
