Arvet Agency from Sweden has obtained the media rights to Finnish-Swedish author Kjell Westö's book 'Dusk 41,' which explores the dark history of Finland during the years 1940 and 1941. The novel follows a young couple, Molly and Henry, from the Swedish-speaking minority in Finland, whose lives are profoundly affected by the Russian invasion. Arvet plans to adapt the book into a limited series, citing its contemporary relevance amidst current world events like the war in Ukraine. Westö expressed his belief in the importance of the novel's themes of love, truth, betrayal, power, and the cruelty of war, emphasizing its timeless and universal nature.
