Asia Port Congestion Continues into August Due to Ship Delays

Reported about 1 year ago

Port congestion in Asia is expected to last into August due to ships avoiding clogged maritime gateways in the region. Singapore and Malaysia are facing bottlenecks as vessels are diverting from other ports, causing delays. Despite some easing in congestion, the situation is likely to persist for at least another month, with Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and the Indian subcontinent having the highest idled container capacity globally waiting to dock.
