During the Asus shareholders meeting on June 13, 2024, Shi Chongtang expressed optimism about the application of robots in the medical and educational fields. Nvidia CEO Huang Renxun recently visited Taiwan and emphasized that 'robots' are the next killer application of AI (artificial intelligence), stating that 'I believe the timing is right.' Asus Chairman Shi Chongtang highlighted Asus' early involvement in robot development, foreseeing robots excelling in 'conversational AI' in medical and educational fields. Despite being proud of Asus' robot 'ZenBo' launched in 2016, which provided various services, Shi Chongtang believes it did not meet stringent requirements due to insufficient technology at the time. However, with advancements such as large language models, end-to-end connectivity, and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) technology, Shi Chongtang sees the current timing as right for robot development, especially in areas like healthcare and education.
