August Welcomes Returning Taiwanese Investment, Business Association Optimistic about Pre-sale and New Commercial Offices

Reported about 1 year ago

According to the latest statistics from the National Chamber of Commerce and Xianglin Construction on July 8, 2024, despite construction costs not decreasing in the first half of this year, the number of housing units for sale in the six major cities in Taiwan decreased by 3.6%, but the total sales amount reached 1.18074 trillion NT dollars, hitting a new high for the same period since 2011. Looking ahead to the second half of the year, the Chamber of Commerce's Honorary Chairman Lai Zhengyi expects positive prospects after the loosening of restrictions on Taiwanese investment returning in August, with a favorable market for pre-sale projects and new commercial office buildings. The total annual sales volume is predicted to challenge 2.3 trillion NT dollars.
