Australia Adheres to One-China Policy, Not Supporting Taiwan Independence

During the 9th annual meeting between Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison at the Parliament House in Canberra on June 17, 2024, Morrison stated that Australia adheres to a One-China policy and does not support Taiwan independence. Both countries expressed willingness to maintain dialogue, enhance trade, cooperation in various sectors, and continue improving the Australia-China relationship. The joint declaration also mentioned upcoming bilateral meetings and affirmed the importance of mutual respect, equality, and the Australian commitment to the One-China policy.
