Australia's First MQ-4C Arrives at Base to Strengthen Maritime Surveillance

According to the Australian Defense Magazine (ADM) reported on June 17, the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) first MQ-4C large unmanned reconnaissance aircraft arrived at Tindal Base in the Northern Territory on June 16. This deployment will enhance Australia's maritime Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities and multinational joint operational capabilities. The MQ-4C is equipped with ZPY-3 X-band active electronic scanning array (AESA) radar, MTS-B multispectral infrared electro-optical sensor, and excellent endurance, capable of 24-hour detection, tracking of airborne and maritime targets, and conducting ISR&T missions.
