Australian swimmer Kaylee McKeown made headlines at the Australia Olympic Trials by clocking the second-fastest 200m backstroke time in history, just missing her world record by 16 hundredths of a second. With this achievement, she adds to her previous triumphs including being the reigning Olympic gold medalist in the 100m and 200m backstroke events, a world champion, and world record holder. The upcoming Paris Olympics will see her compete against American swimmers such as Regan Smith and Kate Douglass.
