The Austrian Ministry of Defense announced on July 2nd that they have signed a procurement contract with the United States to purchase 12 UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program, aiming to enhance Austria's military airlift capabilities. The contract, valued at about 715 million euros (approximately 25.1 billion New Taiwan dollars), includes training, logistics support services, and the installation of specific equipment to improve safety during high-altitude missions. The new helicopters are expected to be delivered starting from 2028 and will be stationed at the Hörsching base in northern Austria.
