The 'Minimum Wage Consultation Meeting,' seen as a precursor for next year's minimum wage adjustment battle, took place today, with 30 committee members discussing the potential for salary increases based on the current economic situation. According to 104 Job Bank, the average monthly salary for all workers this year reached 47,000, a 5.4% yearly increase, hitting a 10-year high. Looking at 63 industries, the computer and consumer electronics manufacturing industry had the highest average monthly salary exceeding 60,000, with high-paying industries concentrated in technology and finance, while social welfare and consumer industries lagged behind, showcasing a 57% wage gap between the highest and lowest paying sectors.
