During a session with Premier Su Tseng-chang and DGBAS Director Chen Shu-zi at the Political Center on June 14, it was reported that the average regular salary for all employed workers from January to April this year was 46,105 RMB, but with bonuses and overtime pay, the average salary would reach over 63,000 RMB, causing discrepancies in public perception. Premier Su suggested using the median salary for a more appropriate calculation method to avoid negative reactions. He emphasized the importance of a fair method to present the data to the public to ensure better understanding and feelings. The DGBAS is working on collecting big data to publish the median salary every month in the future.
