Due to a rise in health consciousness in recent years, many people choose various methods to lose weight, with exercise being the primary choice. However, weight loss doctor Xiao Jiejian advises against engaging in 'prolonged endurance exercises' like long-distance swimming or marathons, as these can trigger stronger hunger cues and cause the body to absorb more nutrients, leading to potential weight gain. Xiao also explains the importance of stabilizing insulin levels and avoiding high cortisol levels for effective weight loss, recommending moderate aerobic exercise and adequate pre-workout carbohydrate intake to achieve this without the risk of fat accumulation. Xiao further suggests exercising in a 'one day on, one to two days off' rhythm, consuming enough carbohydrates and protein, and replenishing glucose during longer exercise sessions to prevent muscle loss and increased body stress.
