A recent food poisoning incident at Hongwu Curry in Xizhi Far Eastern Plaza, New Taipei City, has led to 10 individuals seeking medical attention, with 8 discharged and 2 hospitalized. The city's Health Bureau has ordered the shop to temporarily close. Following the incident, a nutritionist has shared a guide on Salmonella symptoms and prevention. The bacterium has been found in individuals who suffered from vomiting and diarrhea after consuming curry and omelet rice, with some experiencing over 25 episodes of diarrhea in a day. Salmonella is a common intestinal infection that can be prevented by proper food handling and cooking practices.
