Axa SA is exploring options for its investment manager and contemplating a combination with BNP Paribas SA's asset manager, potentially creating a joint venture with total assets under management of about €1.4 trillion ($1.5 trillion). Talks are ongoing to merge Axa Investment Managers and BNP Paribas Asset Management, forming one of the largest European firms by AUM, although there is no certainty a deal will be reached.
