Taiwanese badminton men's doubles player Yang Po-han and his new partner Liu Kuang-heng reached the final of the Yonex US Open in their first tournament playing together just two weeks after Yang and his former partner Lu Ching-yao split up. Yang and Lu had a successful partnership since 2016, winning championships and achieving a world ranking of 10. After a recent quarterfinal exit in Indonesia, Yang teamed up with Liu and defeated their Taiwanese compatriots in the semifinals to advance to the final. Their next challenge is facing the Thai pair of Teeraratsakul and Sukphun in the quest for the US Open title. However, Taiwanese mixed doubles pair Lu Chen and Lee Chih-chen fell short in the semifinals against a Danish duo, missing out on the chance to challenge for the mixed doubles championship.
