Barclays Plc has appointed Bank of America Corp.’s David King as the global head of its technology mergers and acquisitions business, reporting to Ihsan Essaid, Barclays’ global head of M&A. King, who was previously the global co-head of technology, media, and telecom M&A at Bank of America, will be based in San Francisco and work closely with Kristin Roth DeClark, Barclays’ global head of technology investment banking. Barclays is highlighted as a top 10 adviser on tech M&A deals this year, including prominent deals like IBM’s acquisition of HashiCorp Inc. for $6.4 billion.
