Barrick Mining Corporation has agreed to sell its Hemlo Gold Mine in Ontario for up to $1.09 billion to Carcetti Capital Corp, which will rename itself Hemlo Mining Corp. The deal includes $875 million in cash and additional contingent payments linked to gold prices starting in 2027. The sale aligns with Barrick's strategy to streamline its asset portfolio and will further its goal of returning capital to shareholders. The transaction is expected to be finalized in Q4 of 2025, pending regulatory approvals.
