On July 1, 2024, the P. LEAGUE+ announced the third wave of free agents for 2024, including top draft pick Zhang Zhenya from Taoyuan Leopards and defensive player Kenny from Formosa Dreamers among the 12 players listed. Zhang Zongxian, Lin Mengxue, Chia Chen-Hao from Fubon Warriors, along with Zhang Zhenya and Chen Yuhann from Taoyuan Leopards, did not renew their contracts by mutual consent. Formosa Dreamers released Kenny and Wu Song-wei, while Kaohsiung Steelers' Lu Zheyi, Lin Zhiwei, Zhang Bowei, and Li Ruiqi became free agents. Zhang Zhenya, standing at 195 cm tall, previously represented Taiwan national team in the FIBA Asia Cup and also won the MVP in the university basketball league (UBA). However, his performance with Leopards in the past two years was below expectations, averaging 5.1 points, 1.58 rebounds, and 0.89 assists per game this season. Kenny, known for his defensive prowess in Dreamers, also had a less-than-ideal season with 4.54 points, 1.83 rebounds, and 1.37 assists in 35 games played.
