In Taipei City, the newly appointed executive committee head, known as 'Caramel Brother,' Chen Jiaying, who failed to pay party fees on time, couldn't vote and was replaced by the English faction's deputy executive, Zhang Lichen. Despite challenges, Zhang secured the vote, ensuring the faction's representation and winning the convener position. The change in leadership strategy was a key move in safeguarding their position in the upcoming National Congress elections.
