Bausch & Lomb to Remain Independent as Buyout Discussions End

Bausch & Lomb recently explored the possibility of going private with a third-party buyer, but discussions with private equity firms TPG and Blackstone fell through, leaving no deal in sight. The company, which is primarily owned by Bausch Health Companies, has reaffirmed its commitment to eventually fully separating from its parent company, while CEO Brent Saunders, a prominent figure in the pharmaceutical industry, indicated that no immediate deals are on the horizon.
