According to the Central Weather Bureau, due to the vigorous development of convective cloud systems, brief but intense rain is likely. Special rain alerts were issued for 7 cities and counties including Keelung, Taipei City, New Taipei City, Taoyuan City's mountainous areas, Taichung City's mountainous areas, Nantou County, and Yilan County's mountainous areas. People are advised to be mindful of thunder and strong gusts of wind. Additionally, Taichung City and Nantou County have been issued with real-time alerts for heavy thunderstorms, lasting until 19:00. What started as alerts for 4 cities and counties in the afternoon escalated to 7 by evening.
