Reported 8 months ago

In the film 'The Dancer,' Nadia Tereszkiewicz portrays a woman with hirsutism who must shave and remove hair daily, leading to unexpected developments in her life after marriage. Inspired by the real-life 'Bearded Lady' Clémentine Delait from early 20th-century France, the film directed by Stéphanie Di Giusto showcases Nadia's elegant performance, receiving widespread acclaim. Despite the challenges of hirsutism, Nadia found empowerment through her unique beauty. 'The Dancer' tells the story of Rosalie, a woman with hirsutism, who uses her condition to save her husband's struggling business, facing judgment from narrow-minded villagers. The film will be screened at the Taipei Film Festival this year and premiered in Taiwan on July 19.
