Berkshire Hathaway Director Olson to Retire; Buffett Rejects Shareholder Proposals

Reported about 6 hours ago

Berkshire Hathaway announced that director Ronald Olson will retire due to a new policy mandating directors, except Warren Buffett, to step down after age 80. In its upcoming annual meeting, Berkshire's board also opposed seven shareholder proposals focused on diversity and anti-discrimination, arguing that their subsidiaries can manage their own policies. Buffett, at 94, remains exempt from this age limit due to his significant control over the company.
