Berkshire Hathaway reported a more than 6% decline in operating earnings for the third quarter, totaling $10.09 billion, due to weaknesses in its insurance underwriting division. The company also continued to reduce its stake in Apple, selling approximately a quarter of its holdings, amounting to a 67.2% decrease year-over-year. Despite the selling of shares, Berkshire's cash reserves reached a record $325.2 billion.
